La Cuna white
In the south of Catalunya we find the white Garnacha’s cradle. Beautiful slopes full of old bush vines, pure white fruit, minerality with exquisite roundness. A region with both Mediterranean and continental influences, adored by Picasso because of its tranquil, sober beauty, La Cuna.

Batea
Then it was time to leave Aragon behind me, on the road to Catalunya, because the cradle of the white Garnacha is to be found in Batea. Beautiful hilly area full of white Garnacha old bush vines. This had to be the white version of La Cuna, that much was clear to me. In Batea I was completely stunned by the delicious acids produced by some of the plots. I didn’t realise it at the time, but it would prove to be very useful later on.
