I am the eldest of four and I got involved in wine by accident after a sunny Spanish bottle for an amazing price in 1983.
I started as a small, local wine merchant in a garage and I always kept on growing. When passion is the driver, growing is not hard labour. I have always been drawn to authenticity, which includes wine. Grape varieties, regions, roots, toasting the barrels, the opinions and choices of winemakers and agronomists.
With Master Winemakers we took a step towards production in 2000. We are still dealing with the challenges of improving the quality, packaging and price of our clients’ most popular wines. Now, we are adding a didactic dimension to all of this, with production lines such as Carlos Rubén, and this gives me a real sense of satisfaction.
