The region near the French-Spanish border is home to the Grenache Gris, a pink-coloured grape that, if pruned properly, creates a distinct and interesting white wine. I dedicate it to Salvador Dali, the genius artist who was born in this region. And we have given the wine a nimble, crazy-genius name, Garna ChaChaCha.
Garnacha Gris is a rather rare variety that can usually be found on both sides of the French-Spanish Catalan border. In Salvador Dali’s Figueres, I was handed a leaflet promoting ChaChaCha dance courses and I thought “why not?”, a nimble Garna ChaChaCha made of 100% Garnacha Gris.
